All reaction & analysis as Alcaraz beats Sinner in French Open epic
'This rivalry is just going to go on and on'

Jannik Sinner has been absolutely brilliant since his return.
He was one point away from winning this title but Carlos Alcaraz held his nerve on those match points. Sinner will be really regretting that second serve backhand on 15-40 at 5-3 up. He usually makes that shot every time.
This rivalry is just going to go on and on. Sinner is better on the hard courts than Alcaraz at the moment, but Alcaraz leads on the clay and on grass.
This rivalry will push both players to try to win all four majors and try to reach double digits for Grand Slam titles.
'Privilege to share the court & make history with Sinner'
Sinner 6-4 7-6 (7-4) 4-6 6-7 (3-7) 6-7 (2-10) Alcaraz
More from two-time champion French Open champion Carlos Alcaraz: "I want to say thank you for everything to my team and my family. I have the privilege to live great things with you. I was lucky to have a lot of people who came from Murcia from home to support me. Amazing support you have given me today and the whole two weeks. This trophy is yours as well.
"Everyone who makes possible this event, this tournament for me is really special, I can't wait to come here every year. Special thank you to Amelie [Mauresmo, tournament director]. The work you are doing is amazing and it is not easy to deal with us so thank you and congratulations.
"Then Paris, guys, you have been an important support for me since the first round. You were insane for me, I can't thank you enough for the great support. You were really important, you will always be in my heart so thank you Paris and see you next year."
